Butt Lodge, a 19th-century, 4-star rated lodge, is a haven of tranquillity on the north-west coast of the Isle of Arran – an island easily accessible by ferry from the southern Scottish mainland.
The Lodge has been extensively renovated and includes a huge Hinoki bath tub from which you can look out onto a Japanese garden, offering a luxurious way to unwind at the end of the day.
The Lodge is situated on the outskirts of the village of Lochranza and overlooks the golf course where red deer roam! Seals, and sometimes dolphins, can be seen in the bay, and golden eagles nest in the nearby hills.
The island has seven golf courses, including the unique 12-hole course at Shiskine; however, the overriding appeal is undoubtedly the beautiful scenery. Whether your taste is for scrambling up Goat Fell, pony trekking in Glen Sannox, enjoying the wonderful gardens of Brodick Castle, or merely strolling in the attractive coastal villages, Arran is sure to provide a relaxing and rejuvenating break, and Butt Lodge will leave you with special memories and your energy levels recharged!
