Situated in one of the Perthshire glens between Pitlochry and Blairgowrie amid mature broadleaf trees, tumbling rivers and green fields, at the foot of moorland and hills, Dalnagairn, a Victorian lodge, was recently totally refurbished. It is equally suitable for adult parties or families.
The house has open log fires, a spacious drawing room with comfortable sofas, and a lovely dining room for those special occasions. One of the many unique features is a former billiard room with wooden floor and ornate fireplace, now equipped with ping-pong table and piano - ideal for games and Scottish dancing.
Dalnagairn has a secluded feel, but it is only a five-minute drive from Kirkmichael village, within half an hour of the amenities of both Blairgowrie and Pitlochry, and less than an hour from Perth and Dundee. It is, therefore, ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, as well as those wanting to be within striking distance of entertainment.
Kirkmichael is a pretty village with a restaurant, and an astonishing little shop that stocks just about everything! Whether you are looking for pickled walnuts or strawberry jam with champagne you will find them here - just walking distance from the house.
The spectacular road from Pitlochry to Kirkmichael is one that you will enjoy travelling, as each turn offers different views of hills, glens and woods. Along here is the famous and unique Edradour Distillery, which is well worth a visit.
Heading east from Dalnagairn will take you to the lonely and atmospheric Glenshee ('Glen of the Fairies') which offers skiing in the wintertime and superb hill walking throughout the seasons.
