Spacious sitting room/kitchen/dining room with wood burning stove, Aga and cathedral ceiling
Double bedroom
Wet room with open shower, toilet, hand basin

Spiral staircase leading to loft bedroom with two single beds

Kilmorack Cottage has been creatively converted from a former steading and has some lovely contemporary features, such as a spiral staircase, cathedral ceiling, loft bedroom and open plan sitting/kitchen/dining room.

The cottage is situated to the rear of Kilmorack House, which is also available for rental through LHH, and although it is taken as additional accommodation for large parties, it can also be rented on its own. There is a separate access to each property and the cottage has its own private garden.

This area of the Highlands is noted for its beauty and unspoilt landscapes. Kilmorack is en route to the famous Glen Affric - one of the last remaining wilderness areas, and a popular destination for hill walkers, cyclists and mountaineers.

Those familiar with the fishing in this area will appreciate the close proximity of the River Beauly, one of Scotland's finest salmon rivers, which flows not very far from the cottage. Justly renowned for the glory of its woodlands, this classical blend of natural forest, shimmering loch and rugged hill, found in Glen Affric has inspired many Victorian artists, and the 'Monarch of the Glen' painted by Landseer was set amidst this fine panorama. The spectacle of the Dog Falls at the foot of the glen leads the visitor to Loch Beinn a' Mheadhoin, known for the excellence of its trout fishing and beyond, by pathways, along Loch Affric to enjoy the magnificence of the Highlands

The Highland town of Beauly is a 10-minute drive and offers plenty of shopping opportunities, including a butcher, baker delicatessen, supermarket and high-class giftware shops. The House of Beauly stocks some of the finest Scottish crafts and also has a food hall and a restaurant. Next door is the Kilmorack Gallery, which exhibits artworks from Scotland's most renowned artists.

Inverness is a 30-minute drive and is the capital of the Highlands, offering all that you would expect from a small city.
