This old-family fishing lodge is spectacularly located on the shores of Loch Ba and has superb views down the loch. Climbing to the 3000-foot peak of Ben More gives you the most fantastic panorama of sea, land and sky.
Once the property of the Duke of Argyll, Benmore Lodge was used as a honeymoon retreat for Princess Louise and the Duke's son. The honeymoon lasted two years, during which time the Princess undertook three paintings on the drawing room walls, which have been preserved and listed for protection.
This classic sporting lodge offers spacious accommodation, including a large games room with an antique snooker table, and a dining room with a table seating twelve.
Fishing for one rod on the river, and a boat on the loch (two rods), is available by prior arrangement, and for which there is an additional charge. For insurance purposes, if the boat is hired the services of a boatman/ghillie must be utilised.
