Glasgow - Scotland's largest city - is a place full of warmth and character where there is much to enjoy and experience. Glasgow is a city of strong images: from the 'dear green place' where St Kentigern established a cathedral in the 6th century, it grew into a mediaeval burgh and, later, a trading community. Now it is known worldwide as a city of style, culture and commerce. Beautiful Loch Lomond is just a half hour from the city and opens up some of Scotland's most stunning scenery, including the Cowal Peninsula to the west.

Edinburgh - Scotland's capital and home to the Scottish Parliament. Steeped in history with streets lined with historic buildings and architecture, Edinburgh needs little introduction. However, less well appreciated is the relationship of the city to the surrounding countryside and the ease with which vsitors can enjoy both the city and the countryside or beaches which are never far away. The Kingdom of Fife is just over the Forth Bridge and the superb beaches of Gullane and North Berwick are just a 30 minute drive.
